Scotland Over 70 kick off 2019, taking on England at Durham on Tuesday 5 March.
Wales will host the 2019 Celtic Cup in Swansea from 26 to 28 April and Aberdeen is the venue for the 2019 Four Nations Tournament (formerly Home Internationals) on 24-26 May. The tournament, which will be played on two pitches at Countesswells and a third pitch at Aberdeen Sports Viliage, will include for the first time a B international Over 60 tournament in parallel with the Four Nations event.
The first Scottish Thistles event of the year will be the annual Jacques Lévy Superveterans Tournament in Lille (15-17 March). Thistles have accepted an invitation to the Tilburg Superveterans Tournament on 26-28 April and are planning to field a team in each of the two age groups, hopefully with the same personnel as in the Grand Masters European Tournament Trophy in June. Welsh Dragons are proposing moving the date of the 2019 Dragons Tournament to the weekend of 4-5 August (annual Scottish Thistles event). The following month, Scottish Thistles will again be in Durham for the England LX North East Tour from Tuesday 10 September till Thursday 12 September.
