The dinner on Saturday evening was a great success once again, a very full company enjoying a superb meal courtesy of Norrie and Dorothy Springford, to whom all the members are extremely grateful.
Pauline Cathro kindly arranged a tour of the sights of Dundee for the ladies on Sunday morning, including a drive along the waterfront and a walk in Balgay Park. Pauline revealed the little known facts that the Observatory dome was made out of papier maché, and that the jute owners of Dundee had left a legacy of more green area per head of population than any other UK city. Other sights included Dundee Law and Broughty Ferry.
The result of the match at DISC at the same time as the ladies' tour was a 3-0 win for the White Team [scorers Springford, Dunlop(2)].
