2009 Fixtures

The Over 60s and Over 65s international teams took part in the European Cup in the Netherlands in August (finishing in sixth and fourth place respectively). The Over 60s lost to England and drew with Wales in the inaugural Linburn Trophy event at Stirling at the end of May. A combined team played Wales in a double header in November at Largs and emerged with a draw and a win.

The club had been awarded an Awards for All grant which was put towards equipment and a series of training sessions ahead of the WGMA European Cup.

On a more social level, Scottish Thistles took part in tournaments in the France and the Netherlands in February and March, went on tour in Yorkshire in May and played a Waverley/Inveresk side in Edinburgh in June.
